Who Uses Our Tools

The categories below are a start to the critical all-hands-on-deck in public education and how each of us will be accountable to all kids:

  • Families are critical partners in their child’s education. They prioritize their child’s growth and success, advocate for their child, and seek to understand how they support their child’s success inside and outside the classroom.
  • Teachers and education professionals foster the learning of students. They have an unwavering commitment to effectively engaging all students, giving them the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in college, career, and life
  • Principals establish a safe and inclusive school culture aligned to a vision for quality learning and growth of all students. Principals should also celebrate the success of excellent teachers and support the improvement of those who aren’t showing improvement toward student achievement.
  • The state and districts are accountable for providing resources and school-based support by aligning on goals, setting clear expectations, supporting the development of teachers, and leading improvements to chronically low-performing schools to ultimately serve all students.
  • Elected leaders, depending on their jurisdiction and the office they hold, listen to constituent and voter feedback and input on schools, and may have a hand in creating laws that provide for school funding, accountability, school success metrics, safety, extracurricular activities, and more.
  • Community leaders, organizations, businesses, and other stakeholders support students and school districts in various ways, including partnerships, college and career readiness collaboration, financial support and/or sponsorships, roles on various councils and committees, feedback and input, and more.
